Treble Cone Season Pass price freeze for 2010

LAKE WANAKA, New Zealand (February 18, 2010) – Treble Cone ski area today announced its early bird 2010 season passes prices will remain the same as 2009. Despite the price freeze, Treble Cone has added value with the reintroduction of reciprocal lift pass deals at Ohau Ski Area and Snow Park NZ.

With a strong focus on providing value for Wanaka locals, the ski area will repeat its locals’ youth pass which provides unlimited skiing for the region’s school children for just $149 or free for the under six-year-olds.

In addition, all children who enrol in Treble Cone’s Riders & Sliders or TC Freeride Team programmes will receive a free youth pass. These Sunday programmes are aimed at youngsters who want to explore the mountain and learn new skills in groups of similar ability under the expert guidance of Treble Cone instructors with parents secure in the knowledge their children are in safe hands.

The popular TC Family Mountain Package also returns providing everything a family needs for a fun winter on the mountain at a heavily reduced price. The package includes adult and youth season passes for all the family plus Riders & Sliders for children aged 6-12 years, plus complimentary child care for three to six year olds throughout the season for $1,999 . Families who do not want the Rider & Slider/childcare add-on can purchase a Family Season Pass for $1,749 providing unlimited skiing and riding for all the family.

Early bird adult season passes are available as a Five Day Powder Pass for $349 , a 10-Day Pass for $599 or an Unlimited Season Pass for $999 .

Another new initiative for 2010 is the introduction of a three-instalment payment plan for three of the Early Bird passes. Online purchasers of the Unlimited Adult and both Family Season Passes can spread the payment over three months (terms and conditions apply).

“We’re delighted we’ve been able to freeze the prices across the board on our season passes and make them easier to purchase with the three instalment online option,” said Treble Cone commercial manager, Emma Bennett. “Our records show TC passes are the most frequently used commercial passes in New Zealand providing excellent cost-per-day value for those who really make the most of the outstanding freeride conditions and family facilities up at Treble Cone. Introducing the split level payment scheme makes purchasing a season pass even more accessible to locals and TC enthusiasts.”

Treble Cone early bird season passes are available from 18 February to 31 March 2010 either online at www.treblecone.com or by visiting the downtown Wanaka office.

The 2010 season is expected to run from 24 June to 3 October
